Dear Visitor,
Welcome to Tel Aviv University - Israel's largest university, located in a remarkably vibrant, fast-paced and culturally rich city. We hope that your time here will be academically productive as well as rewarding and enriching outside the context of your academic work.

Sometimes moving to a foreign country for an extended period, while exciting, can also be daunting. A different language and cultural norms can make communication difficult, especially in such basic matters as arranging suitable living quarters, settling visa and immigration questions, completing transactions at the bank, negotiating the public transportation system, buying theater tickets, and so forth. We are here to help ease your way in all these matters, and really in anything connected to day-to-day living in Israel.

On this website we have tried to answer the most common questions and provide essential information for you both before and after your arrival in Tel Aviv. So you should start here with your problems and questions. But please do not hesitate to contact us directly before you arrive, to call us or come into our office (Senate Building, Room 220) once you've arrived, regarding any matter, no matter how large or small. Our purpose is to enable you to devote more of your energies to your research and studies at the university, and to take advantage of all that Tel Aviv and the rest of the country has to offer.

With all best wishes for a productive and memorable stay in Israel,

Professor Jonathan J. Price
Director, Office of Inter-Academic Affairs
