Prof. Dany Leviatan
Prof. Dany Leviatan took office as Rector of Tel Aviv University on August 16th, 2005.

Completed his B.Sc., Cum Laude, in Mathematics and Physics, his M.Sc., Summa Cum Laude, in Mathematics and his Ph.D. studies at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

His fields of interest are: Approximation Theory, in particular Shape Preserving Approximation by polynomials and splines; Degree of Approximation; Positive Approximation Operators; Wavelets.
