The office which is currently headed by Prof. Yoram Oron (e-mail: acadaff@tauex.tau.ac.il) is responsible for two areas:

External academic contacts
The office handles the University's contacts with universities and institutions of higher education in other countries. It initiates and prepares agreements for cooperation between universities for the exchange of students and faculty members. These activities include providing assistance and counseling to students from abroad coming to study at Tel Aviv University, and to our students who are interested in studying abroad for a period of a semester or a year.

It is important to note that these agreements represent only a general framework for cooperation. Students wishing to participate in exchange must contact the units in which they study and the International Academic Liaison Office:

The office coordinates contacts with Venice International University (VIU):

Tel Aviv University students are now eligible to apply for a one-year M.A. in Social Sciences and Humanitarian Affairs to be awarded by the University of Rome, "La Sapienza". The program involves studying one semester in TAU and the second semester, together with other Israeli and Palestinian students, in Rome. Most expenses, including travel and stay in Rome, are paid for by the program. For more information:
