For outstanding theoretical and experimental research in nano-plasmonics and nano-photonics; in particular on the propagation of surface plasmons-polaritons along a chain of metallic nano-particles.

The Sackler Prize will be shared equally between the two distinguished recipients. The prize will be awarded to the recipients in person on May 10, 2010, during the one-day workshop honoring the distinguished laureates and the annual session of the Tel Aviv University Board of Governors. Tel Aviv University is honored to administer the Raymond and Beverly Sackler Prize in the Physical Sciences, which is intended to encourage dedication to science, originality and excellence by awarding outstanding young scientists.

The workshop is open to anyone who wishes to attend. For details see conference poster and conference program. Please send a message to: JoanS@tauex.tau.ac.il before 2 May 2010 if you intend to participate in the workshop and the accompanying buffet lunch.
