The Raymond and Beverly Sackler International Prize in Biophysics, awarded at Tel Aviv University, has been
established through the generosity of Dr. Raymond and Mrs. Beverly Sackler. The research field for 2011 is:
Innovative Physical Techniques in Biology.

Development of microfluidic methods for biophysics and structural biology of proteins and nucleic acids.

Professor Xiaowei Zhuang,

For her seminal contributions to:

Invention, development and biophysical applications of Stochastic Optical Reconstruction Microscopy (STORM) and related methods of super resolution microscopy.


The Sackler Prize will be shared equally among the two distinguished recipients. The prize will be awarded to the recipients in person on May 24, 2011. Tel Aviv University is honored to administer the Raymond and Beverly International Prize in Biophysics, which is intended to encourage dedication to science, originality and excellence by awarding outstanding scientists.
