Personal
Dr. Hammel received his BSc in Chemistry in 1974 from Tel Aviv University, followed by his MSc (Tel Aviv University) in Biochemistry (1976) and his DSc (Technion) in Immunology (1980).
He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pathology at St Louis University (1980-1982) and Harvard University (1982-1984).
Upon his return to Israel (1984), he became a Faculty member at the Department of Pathology, Sackler School of Medicine.
