Participants who would like to present an oral or poster presentation must submit an abstract for consideration by the Scientific Committee. The abstracts should be submitted in English and arrive not later than February 28, 2002. Abstracts received after this date cannot be considered. The Scientific Committee will determine whether the abstract will be accepted as oral or poster presentation, with consideration to be given to the author's preference. Authors should indicate, in a cover letter, the topics for which their paper should be considered (see "Main Topics" above), and their preference as to the form of presentation (oral or poster). Authors will be notified by April 15 whether their abstract has been accepted and of the method of their presentations. Participants can be presenting author of one abstract only. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat. Only the abstracts of registered presenting authors will be included in the program and in the conference Book of Abstracts. Available equipment for Oral Presentations: Overhead and slide projection as well as computer presentation (such as Powerpoint). For Poster Presentations: instructions for preparation of posters will be sent together with notification of acceptance. PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS Abstracts, totaling approx. 250 words - including title, names of authors and affiliations, must be written in English, and typed single spaced, using Times New Roman 12 point font. Do NOT use a smaller font size. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. The abstracts - including tables, and/or diagrams, references and acknowledgements - must not exceed the size of 13 cm (width) by 18 cm (length). All abbreviations must be defined in the text.
