The MSc thesis is on the: "Allelopathic interaction of submerged
hydrophytes and epiphytic algae", supervised by Dr. Yaacov
Lipkin
The study is aimed at learning whether allelopathy is involved in
preventing or reducing the epiphytic algal cover on submerges macrophytic
hydrophytes.
The study started with determining which algal species might serve as the
prefered bioassay species, moving to testing the effects of basophytes
exudates and surface components on the bioassay epiphytes.
