The Joan and Jaime Constantiner Institute for  Molecular Genetics is able to provide Travel Scholarships for a limited number of doctoral students in the George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences and the Sackler School of Medicine, to partly cover the cost of active participation in an international meeting, workshop or course. Each year there are two rounds of applications, in February and in June.

Interested persons working in the field of molecular genetics are invited to submit their applications to the Director of the Institute.

Applications and all related documents should be sent by E-mail and include:

  1. Short CV
  2. Two letters of recommendation. One of these should be from the supervisor of the applicant.
  3. Notice of acceptance to the meeting, workshop or course. In the case of a meeting, include an abstract of the poster or lecture to be presented. In the case of a course or workshop provide a letter of invitation from the host stating the nature of the course or research.
  4. Name of meeting, date and location where the meeting is being held.

The scholarships are not retroactive. Applications that are incomplete or were not received before the deadline will not be considered.

The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and will be awarded only to those applicants who have not previously received a Constantiner scholarship.
