Nili Cohen, member of the Israeli Academy of Science and Humanities, received her LL.B. magna cum laude, LL.M., summa cum laude, and Ph. D. from TAU. Her research interests are contracts, torts, restitution, comparative law and law and literature. She is the author of Interference with Contractual Relations, Inducing Breach of Contract and co-author of Contracts A,B,C and D. She edited Comparative Remedies for Breach of Contract and contributed a chapter to the book. She is the recipient of Sussman Prize (twice), Zeltner Prize, the Rector Prize for Excellence in Teaching (twice), the Minkoff Prize for Excellence in Law. She is the incumbent of the Benno Gitter Chair in Comparative Contract Law and the director of the Beverly and Raymond Sackler Fund for Human Rights in Private Law. She served as Rector of Tel-Aviv University (1997-2001). Nili Cohen was awarded an Honorary Degree at the University of Buenos Aires in 1998. She was a member of the Committee of the Codification of Israeli Law. In 1999 she was elected Associate Member of the International Academy for Comparative Law and a member of the American Law Institute. Since 2000 she is a member of the Academic Council of Venice International University. |
