Attorney Dori Spivak |

Dori Spivak is the deputy director of the clinical programs. He teaches at the Human Rights Program since 1996. Attorney Spivak recieved his LL.B (Cum Laude) and B.A in Economics in 1996, both from the University of Haifa. He obtained his LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 2000. While at Harvard, Attorney Spivak was also nominated as a visiting fellow at HLS's Human Rights Program, and served as the president of the Middle East Law Students Association. Attorney Spivak currently serves as a chairperson of the board of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, and is active in several other Israeli human rights organizations. To the staff list |

Attorney Ela Alon |

Ela Alon joined the Public Interest Law Program in September 2007 as coordinator of the cause lawyering project. Ela received her LL.B (cum laude) in 1998 and her LL.M (cum laude) in 2005, both from the Tel-Aviv University Faculty of Law. Since 1996, Ela has been a volunteer in Halev - The Movement for Fighting Poverty, an NGO that provides legal aid to low income communities. Ela served as the coordinator of the volunteer students in Tel-Aviv University's Faculty of Law. She established and managed the legal aid given at the Execution Offices. Ela also coordinated the organization's advocacy program, which promoted initiatives for social change. . Between 2005 and 2007 Ela worked as a legal advisor to the Fire & Rescue Commission in the Ministry of the Interior. Between 2001 and 2004 Ela served as a legal officer in the Legal Advising and Legislation Section of the Military Attorney General in the I.D.F. Attorney Anat Ben-Dor |

Anat Ben-Dor is aclinical instructor of the Refugee Rights Program. established at 2001. She received her LL.B. in 1990 and her LL.M in 2002 (cum laude), both from the Hebrew University Faculty of Law. Attorney Ben-Dor is also a graduate of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership, Jerusalem. | Ora Bloom joined the Refugee Rights Program and the Social Welfare Law Program in September 2006. Ora has earned her LL. B. at the Bar-Ilan University. She has a Philosophy and Literature B.A (cum laude) from the Tel-Aviv University. Ora has graduated the Student Facilitators training program at the Stanford University MBA Program. She is a mediator as accredited by the Santa Clara, California institute for dispute resolution. Between the years 1996 and 2000, Ora was an attorney in a civil law office and served as a legal counselor regarding women rights at the workplace. | Attorney Hicham Chabaita joined the Human Rights Program in 2002. He received his LL.B in 1991 and his LL.M in 1992, both from the university of Aix-Marseille, France.. Between 1996 and 2002 attorney Chabaita worked as an attorney at The Center for the Protection of the Individual, a Jerusalem-based NGO that deals with human rights vilations of Palestinains in the occupied territories. | Dana Freibach-Heifetz joined the Social Welfare Law Program in October 2004. She received her LL.B. from Tel-Aviv University in 1991. She also studied philosophy, and received BA (with honors) )1991) and MA (with honors)(1996) from Tel-Aviv University, and Ph.D (2005) from Ben-Gurion University. Before joining the clinical programs, Attorney Freibach-Heifetz worked as a layer in two law firms, practicing mainly constitutional law, alongside civil-commercial law (1991-1999). Attorney Itai Hermelin |

Itai Hermelin joined the Criminal Justice Program in 2001. He received his LL.B from the Tel-Aviv University Faculty of Law in 1994. He also recieved a B.A cum-laude in Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University in 1994. He served as a military prosecutor (1994 - 1998) and headed the military defence unit of IDF's Northern Command (1998 - 2001). As a military defence attorney he led struggles to curtail pretrial arrests, to minimize criminal records of soldier's martial court convictions, and for the prevention of arrests and prosecutions of drug addicts in drug abuse cases. Ms. Kafri holds a bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B), a bachelor's degree in Philosophy (B.A) (cum laude) and a master's degree in Education Administration (M.A) (cum laude), all from Tel-Aviv University. Yael Kafri conducts academic and training courses for school headmasters in the area of Law and Education, and works for the legal department of the Ministry of Education in the field of legislation. She received her LL.B. (cum laude) in 2002, from the Tel Aviv University. Currently enrolled in the Direct JSD program in the Tel Aviv University and is writing her thesis on "Immigration due to socio-economic constraints: The Need for a New Legal Category". During the academic year of 2006-7 she participate in a Visiting Researcher program in the Yale University, USA. Dr. Hagit Lernau joined the Criminal Justice Program as an academic supervisor in July 2007. Dr. Lernau received her B.A in Philosophy (1992), her LLB (1997) and her PhD in Criminology (2002) from the Hebrew University. Her doctoral thesis focused on the empirical assessment of the way in which new legislation (from 1998) regarding detention and legal representation provided by the Public Defender's Office affected court hearings held in the magistrates court in Tel-Aviv. | Issi Rosen-Zvi is the academic supervisor of the Environmental Justice Program. He obtained his LL.B. (magna cum laude) from Bar-Ilan University, his LL.M. in law and sociology from Tel Aviv University (summa cum laude). He continued his studies at Stanford Law School, where he received his J.S.D. in June, 2002. His research areas include law and geography and environmental law. He is especially interested in the intersection between social and environmental justice.

Has been serving as editor-in-chief of the "Review of Law and Social Change" which is published by the Public Interest Law Program since December 2006; a PhD candidate at Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law, received his LLM degree in the "Law, Society and Politics" program from Tel Aviv University in 2005 (Summa cum Laude), and his bachelor's degree in Law and Philosophy from the Hebrew University in 1998 (Magna cum Laude); has written a thesis comparing the rights of migrant workers in Israel and France; has gained extensive experience in academic work including research, teaching, writing and editing; has worked in Israel's Attorney General's Office; and is a fervent militant against the privatization of prisons in Israel.

Attorney Itai Svirski |

| Itai Svirski joined the Law and Welfare Program in 2005. He received his LL.B. (Cum Laude) and B.A. in Political Science (Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University (2001). He interned in the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI), where he dealt mainly with social and economic rights and immigration law. In the years 2002-2005 he worked in one of Israel's leading labor law firms where he represented employees, workers unions and employers. As a reserve army officer (paratroopers) he was one of the founders of "OMETZ LESAREV" (Courage to Refuse) that struggle to put an end to the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. He was one of the founders of "TA ADAM" in Tel Aviv University promoting human rights awareness among students (1999-2000). In addition, he was one of the initiators of the first Human Rights Week, and the first alternative "Student Day" in the campus. To the staff list |

Attorney Hen Tirosh joined the Environmental Justice Program in 2006. Attorney Tirosh received her LL.B (Cum Laude) from the University of Tel-Aviv and served as a legal clerk to Supreme Court Justice Ester Hayut. Attorney Tirosh worked as the coordinator of The Association for Distributive Justice, promoting democratization of land policy in Israel. Tirosh was also active for several years in The Land Forum, aiming at equal and democratic management of Israeli Land. In the past, Attorney Tirosh headed the "Halev" project in the Tel-Aviv Labor Tribunal, where law students offered pro-bono assistance in labor law and social security law. To the staff list |

Ruthi Wolf is the administrative manager and the secretary of the Clinical Legal Education programs since February 2007. Mrs. Wolf holds an M.A. in industrial and organizational psychology, and has a 20 years experience in managerial jobs in different fields of higher education. As part of her job she is responsible for the administartion of the clinics' budgets and manpower. Stephen Wizner is the William O. Douglas Clinical Professor of Law at the Yale Law School, and Sackler Professor (Special Appointment) at the Tel-Aviv University Faculty of Law. He has been a clinical teacher at Yale since 1970 and taught in the Tel-Aviv clinical program during the Fall 2000/01 semester. Prof. Wizner serves as a special advisor to the clinical programs.
