בסמינר נבחן את ביטוייהם הפוריים של הזיקות והמתחים בין מושגי האינטואיציה להם הגיבה המסורת האנליטית, לבין ה"מהפך הלשוני", בעיית הצורה הלוגית, והחיפוש אחר היסודות הלוגיים של המטפיזיקה, מנקודות מבט של העניין המחודש במושג האינטואיציה בפילוסופיה בת ימינו.

Between Logic and Intuition in Analytic Philosophy:

In this seminar we will distinguish between three notions of intuition to which the analytic tradition has reacted. We will investigate these notions in some of their influential historical contexts. We will investigate how these notions were perceived at pivotal moments in the evolution of analytic philosophy. The contexts we will consider include: the problem(s) of logical form, "the linguistic turn", and the pursuit of a "logical basis" for metaphysics. The seminar will thus bring some topics in the study of the philosophy of language in line with their origins in logic, the philosophy of logic, and the philosophy of mathematics.
