סילבוס ניטשה ובנימין: על הטרגדיה ומחזה התוגה

הסמינר יוקדש להצגת הניגוד בין עמדותיהם הפילוסופיות של ניטשה ובנימין. מוקד הדיון יהיה בבחינתן של שתי צורות אמנותיות - הטרגדיה ומחזה התוגה- כפי שאלה נידונות בספרו של ניטשה "הולדתה של הטרגדיה" ובספרו של בנימין "מקור מחזה התוגה". מתוך ההנגדה של שתי הצורות האמנותיות נצא אל שאלות רחבות יותר כגון היחסים שבין אמנות ואמת, שפה: מטפורה, סמל ואלגוריה, המוזיקלי והלשוני (שאלת האופרה, ניטשה וואגנר, זמן דרמטי וזמן מוזיקלי אצל בנימין), היסטוריה והווה, מקורות החוק ומהות הכוח, הפילוסופיה והמיתי, חזרה נצחית והצורה של המודרני. נקרא גם מתוך כתבים אחרים של שני הפילוסופים העוסקים בנושאים המוזכרים לעיל.

המועד להגשת עבודה סמינריונית / רפראט בסמסטר ב' הוא עד תאריך 11.9.11.

Nietzsche and Benjamin: Tragedy and Mourning Play
The seminar is devoted to set the contrast between Nietzsche and Benjamin. The discussion will center on the consideration of two artistic forms - tragedy and mourning play - presented primarily in Nietzsche' s Birth of Tragedy and Benjamin's Origins of the German Mourning Play. We shall lead from the contrast between those theatrical forms to larger questions such as the relation of art and truth, language: metaphor, symbol, allegory, language and the musical (the question of opera, Nietzsche and Wagner, musical vs. dramatic time in Benjamin), History and the "Now", the origin of law and the nature of power, philosophy and myth, eternal recurrence and the form of the modern. In addition to the two works mentioned above we shall read from various other writings of Benjamin and Nietzsche.
