סילבוס אסתטיקה - שיעור המשך

המושג "אסתטי" יכול לאפשר לנו להבין את ההתנסות הייחודית שהאמנות גורמת
לנו. כדי להבהיר מהו האסתטי ולרדת לחקרה של החוויה האסתטית נבחן את
התיאורים הפילוסופיים של היופי וההנאה האסתטית. לשם כך נתמקד בשלוש תחנות
עיקריות בהיסטוריה של האסתטיקה: "ביקורת כוח השיפוט" של קאנט, האסתטיקה
של היגל ו"מקור מעשה האמנות" של היידגר. אלה מייצגים גישות פילוסופיות
שונות אל האמנות, אל האפקטים שלה ואל האמת שבה. נבחן כיצד תפיסות
מודרניסטיות ופוסט-מודרניסטיות ביחס לאמנות מתכתבות עם התפיסות האסתטיות
של קאנט, היגל והיידגר. נבחן מהן ההשלכות שיש לתמורות בשדה האמנות על
הפילוסופיה של האמנות. נשאל האם העיסוק של האמנות בת-זמננו במכוער, בדוחה
ובחריג מחייב שינוי באפיון המסורתי של האמנות במונחי יופי, שגב והנאה.
הטקסטים של קאנט ושל היידגר הם קריאת חובה לקורס. בתרגיל הצמוד לשיעור
תתאפשר קריאה צמודה בטקסטים אלו.
נוכחות והשתתפות פעילה בתרגיל הן חובה ומהוות תנאי לסיומו של הקורס. אין
אפשרות לקחת את השיעור ללא התרגיל ולהיפך.
בסיום הקורס תינתן בחינת בית, ובתרגיל תינתן עבודת אמצע-סמסטר ועבודת סיום.

Advanced Aesthetics

The concept of the “aesthetic” can illuminate the unique experience
effectuated by art . In order to clarify the aesthetic and the nature
of the aesthetic experience, we will look into philosophical accounts
of beauty and of pleasure. We will concentrate on three main signposts
in the history of aesthetics: Kant's “Critique of judgment”, Hegel's
lectures on aesthetics and Heidegger's “The Origin of the Work of
Art”. These are three different philosophical approaches to art, its
effects, and its truth. We will also examine modernist and
post-modernist positions toward art and their correspondence with the
aesthetics of Kant, Hegel and Heidegger. We will examine how changes
in the field of art affect aesthetic concerns and whether the
traditional interest in beauty, the sublime and in aesthetic pleasure
should be reconsidered in view of artistic oncerns.
Participation in the course requires reading of sections in Kant and
in Heidegger. Close reading of these texts is implemented in the
tutorial. Active participation in the tutorial is obligatory. Students
are required to take the course and its tutorial in the same year.
At the end of the semester the students will take a home exam. In the
tutorial, the requirements include besides active participation, a
mid-term short essay and a final essay.
