סילבוס נשים ערביות-פלסטיניות ופוליטיקה בישראל Politics and Palestinian-Arab Women in Israel: Between the 'Private' and the 'Public'

הקורס בוחן את המיקום והזיקה של הנשים הערביות-פלסטיניות בישראל לפוליטיקה במובניה וברמותיה השונות, דרך התבוננות בזירות ובאתרים סוציו-פוליטיים רלוונטיים, בתופעות ובפרקטיקות חברתיות שונות, החל מייצוגים ואופני השתתפות בפוליטיקה הפורמאלית בשתי הרמות המוניציפאלית והארצית, עובר בעמותות ובארגונים לא-ממשלתיים ((NGO"S, בתופעת הרצח על רקע 'חילול כבוד המשפחה' וכלה ביחסים המגדריים כפי שאלה מתבטאים בפוליטיקה הבלתי-פורמאלית, כמו ביחידות משפחתיות שונות (גרעינית, מורחבת וחמולה).
כוחות וגורמים ברמת המאקרו של המדינה והחברה הישראלית, ברמה הפנים-קהילתית של החברה במוקד הדיון ואחרים ברמה האינדיבידואלית, כמו גם יחסי הגומלין בין אלה, נבחנים ונידונים. שני הגורמים העיקריים מגדר ושייכות למיעוט אתנו-לאומי נמצאים במוקד.

הקורס מיועד לתלמידי תואר ראשון, עם עדיפות למי שלמד/ה קורס יסוד במגדר.

This course examines the position of Palestinian-Arab women in Israel in politics in its different notions and levels as well as the connections between both, by looking at relevant socio-economic and political arenas, sites, phenomenon and social practices. Starting from representations and participations forms in formal politics both in national and municipal levels, through NGO'S, 'honor' killing and ending with gender relations as they are reflected in formal as well as informal politics in familial units (nuclear, extended and Hamoleh). Forces and factors in the macro level, the inner-communal, the micro level as well as the intersections among them are addressed, where gender and affiliation to ethno-national minority are focused on.

The course is opened for BA students who learned at least one core course from women and gender studies.
