סילבוס הרקמה העדינה והחומר הגס: סיפורי חניכה בספרות העברית Delicate Embroidery and Raw Material: The Modern Hebrew Novel of Development

הקורס יציע היכרות עם ההגדרות, המודלים והתיאורים הקלאסיים של סיפור ההתבגרות והחניכה במסורת הספרות והתרבות האירופית ובמסורת הספרות העברית החדשה, על רקע ההבנות התיאורטיות של המושגים "ילדות", "התבגרות", "חניכה", "טקסי מעבר", "הצגת האני" – ועוד. הכרות זו תוליך לקריאה ביקורתית של המודלים האלה מפרספקטיבה פמיניסטית כדי לעמוד על מידת הבנייתם הממוגדרת. על רקע אלה יעסוק הקורס בסיפורת העברית החדשה שבה מגולמים מושגים אלה בעלילת התבגרות של גיבורות וגיבורים ספרותיים כדי לעמוד על מידת תחולתם האוניברסלית או הממוגדרת של המודלים המקובלים.
דרישות קדם: קורס בסיסי (שיעור) "מבוא לסיפורת" (06801000) או "מבוא לנרטולוגיה" (06081136).
דרישות הקורס: קריאה שוטפת של חומר עיוני ותיאורטי; קריאה שוטפת של סיפורים ורומנים; הכנת עבודת ביניים; כתיבת חיבור סמינריוני מודרך; בחינת בקיאות על החומר העיוני.

The seminar offers an introduction to the definitions, models and the classic descriptions of the bildungsroman (novel of development, formation and education) in European literature and culture and in modern Hebrew and Israeli literature, all of which is based on the theoretical insights of concepts such as "childhood", "maturation", "education", "rite of passage", "self-presentation", "identity construction", "subjecthood", "gendered identity" – etc. This acquaintance will lead us to conduct a feminist-critical reading of these models, in order to identify their gendered structuring and bias. On this basis the seminar will examine the way in which these ideas are embedded in maturation stories of female and male protagonists of Hebrew literature, in order to reveal the universal or gendered extent of these common models.
Preliminary requirements: Basic course Introduction to Prose (06801000) or Introduction to Naratology (06081136).
Seminar Requirements: Regular reading of literary and theory works; short paper to be handed in during the semester; final seminar paper to be handed in at the end of the seminar; theory proficiency test.
