סדנה לתרגום עיתונות

בסדנה זו נתנסה בתרגום טקסטים עיתונאיים מסוגים שונים, מקריקטורות דרך ביקורות סרטים ועד חדשות ומאמרים. הסדנה תאפשר לסטודנטים לערוך היכרות עם בעיות המאפיינות את התרגום (הלא ספרותי) בכלל, ותרגום עיתונות בפרט, כגון הבדלי שפות, תרבויות, נורמות וכיו"ב. כמו כן ננתח דוגמאות של תרגומים לעברית המתפרסמים בעיתונים. הסטודנטים יתבקשו להגיש עבודות מדי שעור בשיעור, והציון הסופי ייקבע על-פי עבודות אלה.

Translating from the press

In this workshop we will translate different kinds of journalistic texts, from caricatures through movie reviews to news reports and articles. Students will get acquainted with the problems related to (non-literary) translation in general and to the translation of journalistic texts in particular, such as linguistic and cultural dissimilarities and norms. In addition, examples of translations published in newspapers will be analyzed. The students are required to submit translation exercises every week, and these will determine the final grade.
