הקורס עוסק באמנות העולמית בכל התרבויות ובכל הזמנים. הוא עומד על הכללות מעניינות המסתמכות על דוגמאות מפורטות השאולות מן התרבויות השונות. The overall subject of the seminar is the nature of (mostly visual) aesthetics in the art of all times and cultures, European, Chinese, Indian, African, aboriginal, and so on. An effort will be made to address the most general problems of aesthetics and give them balanced, plausible answers. The basic reading material will be supplied by the teacher by internet or, if necessary, in print.
