Academic Interests: Metaphilosophy; History of Analytic Philosophy; Philosophy of Language; Intuitionism; Commonsense; and the philosophies of Frege, Wittgenstein, Collingwood and Dummett.

Current Research: The status of philosophical propositions (the possibility of philosophical truth, information and innovation); the philosophical relevance of contexts of discovery and of recognition, and of non-linguistic knowledge; philosophy and commonsense; the relationship between Analytic and Continental philosophy.

Courses Taught:Introduction to the philosophy of language; The Paradox of analysis; The emergence of Analytic Philosophy; The Ineffable; Frege read anachronistically; Wittgenstein -mere therapy?; Michael Dummett's worldview.
