The library also houses a large collection of memorial volumes of communities that perished in the Holocaust. Moreover, there are many periodicals in a variety of languages (including Slavic languages) published both in Israel and in the Diaspora. While a considerable part of the collection is listed in the electronic catalogue, the rest of the material appears in manual catalogues by authors' names and book titles. There is also a separate catalogue of periodicals, microfilms and microfiches. A collection of some 1,500 rare books - some over 200 years old - is stored in the library safe and is available to anyone who is interested. |
