The objective of the School-Based Curriculum Unit is to carry out research, development and evaluation concerning school-based curriculum development and organizational methods in the school, as well as with regard to a multi-level training program for sp ecialists in school-based curriculum planning. Study material is produced in cooperation with teams of teachers for use in the school-wide training programs. The Unit also develops models for an assistance program involving external authorities for the d evelopment of school-based curricula.

Key projects:

  • Technological Leadership Project: This project aims to nurture educational leadership in the field of technology. It encourages school autonomy and builds a network of agents in schools to promote change in the field of computerized technology.
  • The Educators' Ethical Code Project is working on the construction of an ethical code for the teaching profession.
  • School-Based Curriculum Planning in School-Wide Training Programs: This long-term project aims to develop materials for school-wide training programs relating to four spheres: educational platform, the structure of studies, organizational structure, and s chool-based evaluation. Training programs are conducted through monthly encounters and study days.
  • Nurturing the Self-Directed Learner: This project is based on an analytical model for a learning environment that nurtures self-directed learners.
