The Walter Lebach Institute for Jewish-Arab Coexistence through Education organized the following symposia at Tel-Aviv University. These symposia were open to the general public and received widespread attention:

Civilian ethics in a multilingual society

Symposium held to launch the publication of the Civil Lexicon for Pupils in the Arab Education System in Israel by Dr. Amal Jamal. The lexicon, published in Arabic, includes one hundred concepts of civics chosen to reflect the experiences of the Arab citizens of Israel, and is based on activities that took place in the Gilo Center for Citizenship, Democracy and Civic Education at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The lexicon provides a meaningful connection between general democratic principles and the unique heritage and culture of Arab citizens, and may potentially encourage renewed interest and creation in the areas of civic education and civic theory in Israel.
