Call for Abstracts

We invite you to submit abstracts for the 75th Meeting of the Israel Chemical Society - ICS10, 2010.

Instructions

Abstracts must be submitted in English via the on-line Abstract Submission Form.

Abstract Submission Deadline: November 29, 2009

  • Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentations. Oral contributions: Each session will include up to two short oral presentations, selected from the submitted abstracts.
  • Notifications to presenting authors will be sent by December 15, 2009
  • Registration of presenting authors is mandatory. In order to ensure inclusion in the program, registration should be received by the Early Registration Deadline: December 31, 2009.
  • The Meeting’s confirmed abstracts and the scientific program will be available online on this website.
  • Poster size: 90cm wide x 150cm long.

Abstract Submission Information

Before you start the abstract submission process, please read and prepare all necessary information detailed below.

The Abstract Submission Form includes the following parts:

  • Full contact details of the presenting author.
  • Presentation type - select Oral or Poster presentation
  • Topic - Choose the appropriate “Topic” for your presentation (maximum three) - to be selected from the List of Topics below.
  • Abstract Title - limited to 25 words. Please use CAPITAL LETTER.
  • Abstract body (including references) - limited to 300 words. We recommend that you paste in your abstract from a word processing software (for example, Word) rather than typing the text directly into the abstract area.
  • Institutions - list department, city (state, if relevant) and country of the presenting author and co-authors in Upper and Lower case. In the Department field include also the words “Department of…”, if applicable, as only information listed in the field will show. N o t e: If identical institution details are applicable for more than one author, then the institution should be listed only once.
  • Authors - list full first name and last name of the presenting author and co-authors. Please list them in the order that they will appear in the abstract.
  • Preview - you will be able to see the layout of your abstract prior to submission. Please do so in order to verify that all information appears correctly. To modify your abstract prior to submission, please navigate between the various parts of the Abstract Form (Abstract; Authors, Institutions; Preview) by using the upper tabs.
  • Abstract submission - submission of an abstract is complete only if you have filled in all required fields and clicked the SUBMIT icon. You will receive an automatic message upon submission. Shortly afterwards you will receive by e-mail an Abstract Submission Acknowledgement with your abstract number, update link and password.
  • Abstract modification after submission - should you wish to modify your abstract, please use the update link and password which you have received.

System Information

The Abstract Submission System supports all Internet Explorer versions from 5.5 up on Windows, Firefox 1.0+, Mozilla 1.3+, Netscape 7+ and Opera 9.x. This includes Macintosh and Linux.

The abstract submission system is designed to run on many internet browsers, but we recommend that you use the latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer (v.7.0 or better) Mozilla (v.1.7 or better) Firefox (v1.5 or better) and Netscape (v7.2 or better). The versions mentioned above are Windows-based software versions.

Images, diagrams, graphs, etc., must be saved and uploaded as JPG, GIF or PNG. Tables should be saved and uploaded as an image.
