An overview of the collections
The library special collections complement the library
general collection, but are housed separately, part of them in closed stacks,
for reasons such as form, specific subject coverage, rarity, fragility, or
scholarly value.
The collections include original, rare or unique materials, and make
possible in-depth research on selected topics.
Some of the collections consist mainly of private
collections donated to the library by individuals.
All the collections are
developing, and additions are made through selective purchases and donations,
for all kinds of materials: old, new or rare.
Details about a specific collection, its subject scope,
circulation policy, etc., appear in the collection detailed description.
