Dear Members of the Tel Aviv University Board of Governors and Friends,
Please note that this year's Board of Governors meeting will be held on May 13th - 18th, 2011. I believe you will find this meeting to be interesting and encouraging because we will have an opportunity to discuss the substantial advances that have been made since last year's Board of Governors meeting. At that time, many of the discussions were centered on Constitutional revisions and other governance issues. This year we will be able to discuss the progress that has been made under the able leadership of President Klafter and my predecessor, Robert Goldberg.
For example, Giora Yaron has been elected Chairman of the Executive Council. I have known Giora for many years and he meets all the criteria that one would wish for that chairmanship.
In addition, a few months ago you elected me Chairman of your Board of Governors, a position which I am honored to hold.
You will receive, in due course, a copy of the agenda for the Board of Governors meeting. I think you will find that the meeting will be an important one, and of value to you. I know that your attendance will be of great value to Tel Aviv University.
It is my hope that as many of you as possible will come to the meeting, will take the opportunity to participate actively in the deliberations of the Board, and will come away with a sense of renewed pride and participation in the affairs of our University.
I look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
Yours sincerely,

Mr. Harvey M. Krueger
Chairman, Board of Governors
