Indian Council of
Cultural Relations (ICCR)
Junior Fellowship
Program and Academic Visitors Program
The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR),
has launched two new schemes entitled Junior Fellowship Program and Academic
Visitors Program.
The Junior Fellowship scheme has been crafted keeping in view the keen
interest among Ph.D. and Post Doctoral Research students abroad to visit India for
research. The scheme provides for an allowance of US $ 1000 per month for
Ph.D./Post Doctoral research scholars wishing to do field work for research in India, in
connection with their existing projects. They would also be eligible for
international air fares by economy class. Under the Academic Visitors Program,
the ICCR would invite academicians to India for about a week to ten days
and would provide for an economy class air ticket. Local hospitality and their
program in India
would be arranged by the ICCR.
While the Embassy would forward the names in respect of Israel, the
list of research fellows/academicians would be finalized by a search committee
formed by the Government of India.
Detailed curriculum-vitae of the proposed fellows/academicians, their
statement of interest/plan of activities during their stay in India as well
as proposed duration of visit, could be sent to:
