Scholarships
University of
Munich (LMU) Scholarship LMU offers every year, via the Minerva Institute for German
History, one or two scholarships for the duration of one year at the University of Munich. The
scholarships are intended for students who are studying any aspect
of German history and culture at Tel Aviv University requiring research in
Germany. Applications are to be submitted to the Minerva Institute for
German History for screening and onwards transmission to LMU.
The applications should include: curriculum vitae, grade report, research
proposal, two letters of recommendation in English,
a summary form and a letter detailing
the reason for the intended stay in Munich. The decision on the
applications is made by LMU.
Neuberger
Scholarship The scholarship, in memory of the late Josef
and Ilse Neuberger, was founded in cooperation with the state of
Nordrhine-Westphalia, Germany, with the purpose of assisting students
from Israel and Nordrhine-Westfalia. The scholarship is awarded once
a year and is intended for graduate students doing research in the
following subjects: history of the Jews in Germany, relationship
between Jews and Germans, relationship between Israel and Germany.
Applications submitted to the Minerva Institute for German History
should include: curriculum vitae,
a summary form, grade report, research proposal and
two letters of
recommendation.
Minerva Institute for
German History - Grants
From time to time, the Minerva Institute for German History offers
limited grants for research expenses. All students of
the Faculty of Humanities at Tel Aviv University whose work involves
the history and culture of German-speaking countries are eligible to
apply. Applications should be submitted to the Minerva
Institute for German History
using this form, a grade report, outline of intended
research/study, and two letters of recommendation.
